Juventus defender Fabio Grosso has spoken about returning to Germany for the first time since claiming the World Cup with Italy, and playing such an instrumental part in the Azzurri victory.
Grosso hopes that the Bianconeri can also have the same success against Bayern Munich that he had wearing the Italian guernsey over three years ago.
"I have beautiful memories of Germany," the 31-year-old said to Novantesimo.it.
"The stadium is not the same one as the [World Cup] final in Berlin, but it is still in Germany, a nation that has brought me lots of luck.
"I hope that the atmosphere continues to benefit me and the side, as this match against Bayern will the important."
"Juventus are going to step onto the field thinking that they can win. Bayern are strong, but we are preparing for this match, thinking of only winning.
"We are in need of points because we drew the first match [against Bordeaux], and this is our one and only thought."
The two teams meet on Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
